Lately I’ve been telling the Lord that He could wake me up or speak to me any time because I really want to hear His voice and steward well all He gives me. Well, the other night He woke me up at 1:58 in the morning…at 2:30 I finally decided to get up and put into my phone what He was showing me. (Can you tell from this example that my desire to hear from the Lord is more fervent when it’s not the middle of the night even though I tell him He can speak to me then. The heart is willing but the flesh….not so much.)
Earlier in the day I had been to someone’s house and their child was playing a video game. It was a shooting game, like army guys or something. I don’t know the name of the game. As I was sitting there visiting I kept noticing that when someone got shot in the game they would make a sound or say something. They would shout or groan when hit or say things using the F word or other things. One thing I heard over and over and over as I sat there was “God D@#m it” I probably heard it 25 or 30 times during my visit.
I was troubled. Even in my pre-Christ days I never used that phrase. I guess I had enough “religious” training in me, even though I wasn’t walking with God, to know better than to use that phrase. I mean….I didn’t even say the word “hell” because my dad said it was a cuss word. So I might have cussed, but God D@#m it was not in my repertoire.
When the Lord woke me up that night I immediately went into a vision. I saw men, women and children all over the world playing this video game and heard “God D@#m it” being spewed into the atmosphere millions of times, over and over from all directions. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, over and over and over. Immediately I saw the reason for this. God has a plan to bring in the Kingdom of Heaven. He intends for His glory to cover the earth, in our life time, and for all men to see His glory.
Isaiah 40:3-6 say this. “Clear the way for the Lord in the wilderness; make smooth in the desert a highway for our God. Let every valley be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; and let the rough ground become a plain and the rugged terrain a broad valley. THEN the glory of the Lord will be revealed and all flesh will see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
Habakkuk 2:14 says, “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”
As you all know, I LOVE doing word studies, so I looked up the word knowledge in Strongs Concordance. Here are some of the things it can be translated into:
Knowledge = to know (to ascertain by seeing), observation, recognition and instruction. Acquainted with, advise, appoint, be aware, comprehend, discover, familiar friend, instruct, know, have knowledge, perceive, understand.
Guys…this is just SOME of the words knowledge can mean in this verse. All of these words are things seen or experienced or understood. They teach, advise and direct. For the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord to cover the earth would mean that people would have to see it, experience it and be familiar with it.
What I felt the Lord showing me was this is satan’s last ditch effort to keep God’s Glory from being revealed on the earth. As I’ve said many, many times, our words matter. If a constant barrage of “God D@#m it” is spewing into the atmosphere, it’s using the power of words to try to thwart God’s plan to reveal His Glory.
I saw children and adults all over the world giving their agreement and consent to this by their participation. Their hands continued to move on the gaming devise as cussing and declarations calling God to damn our world floated up to God’s ears.
Now I’m not saying God’s hands are tied behind His back because of this, but I firmly believe that all of our words matter. I believe we release either God’s intents or satan’s with our words. We can either partner with Him or aid the enemy, all by the words of our mouth. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
In James 3:10-11 it says, “From the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be this way. Does a fountain send out from the same opening both fresh and bitter water? Can a fig tree, my brethren, produce olives or a vine produce figs? Nor can salt water produce fresh.”
One more scripture…starting in Deuteronomy 30:15. “See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to Him and to keep His commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to His voice and hold fast to Him. For the Lord is your life, and He will give you many years in the land He swore to give your Fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
I say all of this to say, I feel if we participate in video games that are spewing evil words, then we are being a part of using words to destroy not help build the kingdom. The same goes for video games that have pornography (or just plain looking at porn), violence, graphic violent images floating up into God’s eyes right from our own homes or phones.
I know Christian kids that play these kinds of games. I know Christian adults who play these kinds of games. I wonder how many parents really know what their kids are seeing and hearing. Were these games vetted by them as safe? Maybe…or maybe not. I suspect some parents don’t know what their kids are being subjected to.
I posted this the other day on Facebook but I’m going to repost it again at the end of this blog. This was a dream by Andrew Whalen that really spoke to me.
WHERE IS THE FEAR OF GOD
16 years ago I had a dream.. In my dream, I was lead into a room in a place called ‘Valentine’. I knew by revelation in this dream that ‘Valentine’ represented the place of God’s pure jealous love! When I walked into the room I saw the man Prophet Leonard Ravenhill. Leonard Ravenhill appeared from the great cloud of witnesses. He walked up to me and said, “You are on your way, BUT THE FEAR OF GOD IS NOT YET SEEN ON YOUR FACE.” I woke up shook! That dream still causes me to tremble, and humbly pursue the fear of God. — Along the way God has faithfuly and continues to faithfuly address in me what is not truth, what is not holy, what is not pure, etc. I am so dependent upon his mercy and grace!
So let me say:
Right now I believe so much of the church (forget even looking at the unbelievers of the world)… DO NOT YET bear the fear of the Lord on their face. — which by the way is scripturally the reflection of the heart. (Proverbs 27:19). SOOOO much of our so called ‘love, mercy, and grace’ is nothing more than a sensual song! – And hence jezebel parades her influence throughout the body of Christ unchecked. There are great ‘known’ leaders in the body of Christ that preach, prophesy, and pray with the best of em.. and yet I discern something so foul and unclean I would never trust them with my own kids! It is because we don’t fear God or walk in purity that Christ’s name is ‘blasphemed’ among the ‘gentiles’.
I hope we all hear what the spirit is saying in this hour?! WE have been grossly defiled, not because we live in the world, but because we have been ‘OF’ it. I hear the roar of the lion, and I see fire in his mouth getting ready to separate the Holy from the profane! I don’t believe we have seen anything yet. God in his loving mercy is going to shake what has mocked his name- beginning first within the house of God!
Too many people are functioning as a ‘mouthpiece’ for God, and consuming pornography, tolerating jezebel, allowing idolatry to thrive in their own internal secret place, and though it has outwardly remained hidden from the eyes of people.. it has defiled the streams of Gods house… and as a result witchcraft and demons have continual access to corrupt and influence because too many of those who have been in authority are themselves inwardly compromised.
I see a season.. of DEEP repentance coming to the body of Christ, especially leaders. WE ALL need the fear of the Lord! What a mockery we make of the precious blood of Jesus Christ when we live in such a state of hypocrisy and pride. Yes there is forgiveness… Yes there is mercy… but there MUST be consequences for sin especially in places of leadership and influence to preserve integrity!
I’m not escaping his eyes of fire, and neither is anyone else in his house! God help us to judge ourself, lest we come under judgment.
For when Your judgments are in the earth, The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. ‘Isaiah 26:9’. (End of Andrew Whalen’s word.)
What a powerful word from a faithful God. He is so good to give us a heads up so we aren’t caught unawares. Let’s each look within to see where we need to adjust our hearts and behavior. Scripture says out of the heart the mouth speaks, (and acts…my addition).
